Site Privacy Policy

Email addresses are required to comment.  These are protected and not passed on to anyone.  However, they’re not verified so all comments are the responsibility of the commenter.  I’ll block anyone for any reason I choose.  Saying all of that, I’m pretty easy going.  Mainly.

EU Cookie Directive GDPR Thingy

The UK has watered down the recent directive.  This The GDPR means that your data on this website is yours and that it’s sacrosanct. you  Accepting the use of cookies on this site as is a means to improve site functionality.  Cookies are used for registering, commenting and for advertising (which helps support this site).  I only use Google for adverts and their privacy bollocks is here.
The UK derogation means that you have implied consent for their usage by viewing this website.

If you don’t want to use cookies, then click the relevant button, or carry on.  You can also block them from your browser or use a browser plugin.  You can do the same for adverts, of course.  All of this ties in with my site privacy policy above, so it’s a two-way thing.  I reserve the right to block anyone, okay?

For anyone registering or commenting, the email address and any other data is stored.  I have no way of verifying your identity and I don’t care anyway.  The web is full of fibs, after all.

Secret Services

All of the above can of course be swept away by the activities of your own and other countries’ secret services who will monitor everything you do regardless of what I, your government or the EU says.  So essentially, it’s just wallpapering over the cracks in our freedoms.  The GDPR allows you to sue businesses and individuals if your data is misused, but hey, that’s all part of The Crawling Chaos of life, in’t it?  Trust no-one, especially not your granny.
